WELCOME To Shelly Beach Ski Boat Club, one of the hidden gems of the South Coast.

Established in 1974 by Mr Sonny Evans, the clubhouse was built in 1984 and has been a home away from home ever since. We have a dining room, bar and swimming pool which are part of our facilities.

Our dining room serves breakfast, lunch and light meals from 8.30 am until 8pm daily, and our bar opens daily at 10 am.

We invite tourists and visitors to our facilities and offer two different types of membership, full and social.

Full membership is for those who like to fish and Social membership for those who don’t.

Full membership offers anglers the chance to progress within the angling world; we sponsor participation in Inter Clubs, Inter Provincials and National competitions. We have many Protea Anglers within our club who are willing to assist up and coming anglers with their knowledge and skills. We also register and seaworthy vessels.

For more details click on the Club Information link.

We are affiliated to other fishing organizations; Natal Deep Sea Angling Association (NDSAA), South African Deep Sea Angling Association (SADSAA) and International Game Fish Association (IGFA). We are also members of UGU South Coast Tourism.

It’s not all about the fishing, our clubhouse is utilized by many other organizations, we have a wonderful group of retired persons who meet on the third Thursday of every month in the morning for a fun get together with like minded retirees, for more information contact Stewart Booth of SHAFTS (Self help association for the seniors) on 083 650 2686.

Fly fishermen have a monthly meeting on the last Thursday of every month in the evening, for more info contact Bill 039 684 5874.

We also offer our venue to other groups for their meetings, booking is essential though.

We don’t always make a fuss about what we do and we quietly go about our business which offers us the opportunity to support some amazing charities here on the South Coast namely, Shelly Beach Lions, Themba Club who assist street kids, Place of Restoration, SPCA, Churches and other worthy causes.
